The installation of officers for Blue Grass Chapter will be held on July 31st, 2011 at 6pm. We will be holding it at the Oleika Temple. After the installation, the flower talk will be performed followed by a dinner.

The 2011 DeMolay International was held in beautiful Grand Rapids, Michigan where once again, an amazing experience was had by all.

Congratulations must go to our newly elected Brothers. Brother Max Shumaker of Southern California and our very own Honorary Kentucky DeMolay, Brother Michael Burge of West Virginia were elected International Master Councilor and International Congress Secretary respectively. Dad Salazar of the jurisdiction of Northern California was elected as Grand Junior Councilor as well.

For Kentucky, State Master Councilor Jim Bowling was elected to be the Region 4 Cabinet Member. This is a job that takes a lot of time and dedication, and Brother Bowling is sure to be able to perform excellently. Our Executive Officer Dad Danny Coffey was appointed to serve as the Grand 7th Preceptor.

One of the biggest events to happen at this years International Supreme Council and DeMolay Congress Sessions were the unanimous votes on Action Item 3. This item now gives DeMolays the opportunity to speak on the floor of the joint session. This is a major step for DeMolay as we build our leadership organization.

Brother Richard Riley was also inducted into the DeMolay Hall of Fame. Brother Riley is a former governor of South Carolina as well as former Secretary of Education under fellow DeMolay Hall of Famer, President William Clinton. Brother Riley has truly been honored to be in the DeMolay Hall of Fame with some of the greatest people in history.

This years Annual Session was a success, and in Kentucky DeMolay, we hope to continue this trend as Annual Session arrives in Louisville, KY in just one year.
